Have you ever thought about why you do what you do? This could apply to anything. Your job, your actions, habits, tendencies etc. Why do you do it? Is it because it's what you want to do? Were you called to do it? Or are you acting out of a tendency to avoid pain? Is fear ever a factor that determines your actions or current situation? I ask myself these questions often. For me, fear is something I battle on a daily basis. Fear of the unknown and the constant "what if" can make you feel paralyzed. It took a lot of uncomfortable actions to open my own business and get out of my comfort zone. The fear of all the things that could go wrong can almost make it seem not worth it, especially when you have a family. It's not just me, it's a whole group of people that are affected by my decisions and actions. When things feel the most difficult or scary one of things that always pulls me back to the present moment is focusing on what i'm grateful for. Think about all the challenges you've overcome and all things that you HAVE been blessed with. Experiences, family, going for a walk and seeing the trees, exercise. I get to work with people and help them express health in an extraordinary way. When I focus on what i'm grateful for I can start to see what it IS that want for my life and my family very clearly. The clouds of fear start to part away and it's almost like a vision starts to appear. One of the things i've learned throughout my life so far is that when you focus on what you DO want rather than what you don't want or hope won't happen, you'll start to move in that direction. You feel vulnerable when you admit that you're fearful but it's normal. Remember that a bear isn't currently chasing you right now so whatever you're worried about probably doesn't matter that much. What are you grateful for?
Its so our choice, to have a good or bad day, wear a smile or a frown, sometimes just faking it till you make it. Thanks for posting inspiration
